Skiing...
Engelberg is most well known for its excellent skiing and other 'outdoor' activities. Many keen skiers come back year after year. The ski area is well& _developed and also offers fantastic off& _piste skiing. We recommend that you always ski with a guide off& _piste, even if close to the prepared slopes. The two ski systems are situated on either side of the valley. Titlis is the high alpine area with skiing all the way down from 3000m to 1000m. You can choose between slightly more demanding skiing and easier slopes. Highest up on the glacier are some real 'world& _championship slopes’ which build confidence at the same time as challenging you and your carving skis/snowboard. Down in the village, shuttle buses take you to and from the lift station.

Bus nr. 4 stops 10m from the hotel. Brunni is the more family& _friendly sunny side of the valley, with both a ski play area and restaurants with a traditional Swiss atmosphere. You can even find untouched snow between the slopes. If you ski with a guide you can enjoy a wonderful run between the chalets down the back of Brunni into the valley and then take the train from Grünwald (included in your lift pass) up to Engelberg again. Brunni lift station is situated just 300 metres from the hotel.
