BAR

We believe after ski and live music goes hand in hand. Thats why we have live music on stage the whole winter season. At the moment, no less than 12 different bands are going to entertain you during the after ski’s and evenings at Hoheneck.

The Hoheneck Bar is open from 3pm – 1am.

Normally the bands play from Wednesday to Sunday, but dates may be subject to changes. We often get in contact with new musicians as the winter goes, and are sometimes able to offer live music even on Mondays and Tuesdays. The easiest way to be updated on these things is to like us on Facebook.

The line-up below is presented in a chronologic order. And well… we realized the system with “weeks” is typical Swedish, but specific dates are found under each band. So pick your week number or just scroll:

Week 49 – Bar Opening!
3rd – 9th of December

Thursday to Sunday, 6th-9th of December, the Hoheneck Bar open up its doors for winter 2012/2013. We do it with a lot of excitement, love and great live music! Swedish Mathias ‘Biffen’ Larsson and the UK band The Colour Movement will be on stage during this weekend playing live. Mathias ‘Biffen’ Larsson
On stage Thursday and Friday 6th & 7th of December.

Mathias Larsson, a.k.a. Biffen, has been a returning act in the Hoheneck Bar since the beginning of our live music concept. He’s been so because he’s  a much appreciated entertainer among the guests and the staff. If you can’t come for a visit and see him this weekend, you still have a chance later on. Check out week 5 & 6.

The Colour Movement
On stage Saturday and Sunday 8th – 9th of December

Having spent most of 2009 on the road including taking to the stage at Download festival and a stint in LA mixing, the four piece, originally school mates, Leo, Piers, Ali and Dave changed their name from Caimbo to The Colour Movement in 2010.

Continuing to grow their loyal fan base across the UK and fast became favourites’ in Camden’s hotspots and some of the city’s more exclusive clubs including Bungalow 8, Mahiki and the Kensington Roof Gardens, this Cambridge future anthemic rock band also graced the stages at Secret Garden Party and Os Fest along with self releasing two EP’s in 2011 and late last year the guys were approached by Sky 1’s Gadget Geeks to participate in their show.

2012 will see the broadcast of the Sky 1 show along with the writing and recording their first album at the new Headline Music Studios (built by Piers) before embarking on a UK and European tour supporting the debut release later this year.

Week 52
24th – 31st of December

I Hate School
Will perform from 25th of December to New Years Eve.

I Hate School is a true rock n’ roll band. 
They have been a band for four years and performed all over Sweden and this is the third time in Switzerland for the group.

The sound is between classic rock n’ roll like Elvis Presley and rockabilly from artist like Stray Cats and Nick Curran. 
If the audience go crazy, so do I Hate School, for sure!

Week 1

Killerball
On stage 9th-13th of January 

These guys released their first EP ‘St. Epone’ in 2011. They got a lot of attention in the Swedish media and decide to go on a street-tour in Europe. After 2 weeks on the road, their 1000 records were sold out. Armed with acoustic gear you can hear them out in the Hoheneck Bar.

Week 4

STEAM

The band STEAM has played together since 2009. STEAM was created and “sprung out” from the corridors at their workingplace in Kista, Stockholm.

The connection did happen at the pub, when they realised that we shared the same passion for music, skiing and beer. The Steam band has the members Kenneth (Guitar), Tomas (Base), Ulf (Keyboard & Guitar) and Martin (drums). They play cover music that they like themselves.

A mixture of Rock, Harder Rock, Grunge and Pop from the decades of 60′s, 70′s, 80′s, 90′s, 00′s and 10′s.

Merry Mates

A band inspired by four different music styles…what would that be, if not a cover band!! We play and sing all kinds of music from Iron Maiden to Creedence and ABBA!!

We all look forward to come and play for you during week 5. An opportunity we never would miss! So please come and make a lot of noise!

DJ – Olle Papec
Spinnin’ records in the bar 1st & 2nd of February (Friday-Saturday). 

Olle has been playing in clubs such as Stacks (Denver), Babel (Malmö), Trädgårn (Gothenburg) and Berns (Stockholm). When he’s not a DJ, he’s working with GoPro in Sweden.

Week 8

Rider’s Connection
Will play on Wednesday 20th of February.

Acoustic/Blues/Reggae band from Berlin. Started out as street musicians using pure natural instruments such as beat-boxing together with a mouth trumpet and acoustic guitar. Evolved into a full piece band using many different instruments to create a unique style of music whilst providing uplifting energy to its listener.

After touring around Germany and playing gigs in London and Zürich for the last 2 years, Riders Connection are on their first Swiss tour through the mountains promoting their new studio recorded Cd self titled Riders Connection.

Ängelboys

A couple of winters ago, three gentlemen in a band requested some bar guests to come up with a name for the band. The most appreciated proposition among the guests and the band members themselves, was “Ängelboys”.

It all happend in the Hoheneck bar, and the three gentlemen are back. Don’t miss it!

Brand New Logic

Brand New Logic is a professional cover band from Stockholm with great experience from different kinds of parties and events. Their repertoire is a mix of modern radio hits as well as immortal masterpieces, all performed with a lot of energy and enthusiasm together with the audience, always with a ray in the eye.

Week 14

Tre Trubadurer
On stage 3rd-7th of April 

They have been friends for a long time, and played music together the last couple of years. Despite the “relaxed” name (eng. Three Troubadours), these guys gives it all when they are on stage!

With a history of professional playing as troubadours in different bands and choirs, entertaining in hotels and in bars in Stockholm, Zell am See and Chamonix. If you come to see them in the Hoheneck Bar, you will most likely get a dose of music from the 60s and 70s.

So come and visit if you wanna have “a gas”!

“Hey! We are JOPAJOZ Coverband and we play covers from the 50´s up to todays hits. We play those songs you remember with a few surprises as well so if you like to dance or just sit down and listen, if you like to have a few beers or just sip some wine, if you like skiing or just enjoying the Alps… We would LOVE to see you at the Hotel Hoheneck when we play there in April 2013!”
